As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Milindia provided educational scholarships to students pursuing Mechanical/Chemical/Oil technology engineering in two higher education institutes in India. An endowment fund was established in the institutions to provide scholarship for one student each; with a commitment to further the support in the subsequent years. Development Solutions provided support for the CSR investment and monitoring.
Client: Centum WorkSkills India Pvt. Ltd.
The goal of the skill development program was to equip the rural youth to become employable. Across the four districts, over 3000 men and women in the age group 16-35 were trained in areas like retail sales, customer care, and hospitality.
Client: National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC)
The review was done in 6 of the 10 states where the SHSRCs are functional. Interactions were undertaken with stakeholders in SHSRCs, health systems, development partners, and other key civil society organizations. This review helped identify the key roles played by the SHSRCs, the gaps, and challenges they face, and the need for technical support for health systems at the state level.
Client: Bihar Voluntary Health Association - SRHR Alliance
For the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Alliance, India, Development Solutions undertook a GAP Analysis of the RMNCH+A program in Bihar, largely based on the review of policy and strategy and consultations with key stakeholders.The gap analysis enabled the Alliance to play a larger role in promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights. The process also identified opportunities for advocacy that the SRHR Alliance could undertake.
Client: National Health Systems Resource Center (NHSRC)
In collaboration with National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), Development Solutions conducted a one-day consultation to facilitate discussion and feedback on the draft health policy 2015.The consultation was attended by civil society organisations and representatives working on issues of health, from the three priority states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan. A report of the discussions and feedback was prepared and submitted to NHSRC and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

This project explored the situation of children in mining in Rajasthan, specifically, in the Kota/Bundi region. Qualitative methods were applied to collect data in Kota/Bundi. In addition to this, interactions were held in Jaipur and Jodhpur.
