Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited (SURAJ), a public-private partnership initiative between IL&FS and Government of Rajasthan was allocated 6000 acres of land in Noore ki Bhurj Panchayat, Jodhpur to develop a solar park. Development Solutions designed and executed the baseline to map the socio-economic characteristics, access to water and health facilities of 1043 households in the panchayat. A quantitative survey tool with closed-ended questions was used. These data points served as a baseline, against which the impact of the CSR interventions could be measured at the end of the project term.
