Evaluation of the Rajasthan Hotspot Project
Freedom Fund
Socio-Economic Inclusion
Service: Research & Studies

Freedom Fund had implemented a hot spot model to eliminate child labour by involving the industry, the Government, and the communities. To assess the interventions, a baseline was done to measure the reduction in the proportion of workshops in key sectors/industries, engaging child labour. Given the key evaluation questions of the assignment, a mixed method is proposed. A quantitative survey was done in about 1300 workshops/households of select industries in Jaipur and qualitative interactions were done with key stakeholders in Jaipur and Patna. Also, data was collected from Government records including raids and cases in police stations and desk review of reports/documents and judicial cases.
